Fr. Paul Hartmann was ordained to the priesthood in 1994 and served as an associate pastor before being sent to pursue studies in Canon Law. During his tenure in the Metropolitan Tribunal, Fr. Hartmann also served in multiple settings as temporary administrator of parishes, interim Director of Vocations, seminary instructor, and in the Office of the Archbishop. While remaining Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocese, Fr. Paul returned to his high school alma mater, Catholic Memorial High School of Waukesha, to serve nine years as its president. In 2017, Fr. Hartmann moved to his present assignment as a pastor of two parishes. He remains judicial vicar and serves in canonical roles for dioceses and archdioceses throughout the region.
